First time here, and I was impressed. Staff and owner are very friendly. Especially the owner, which adds to the atmosphere. Great food. There is plenty of selection of tea to choose from.

We enjoyed a relaxing lunch at this fusion cafe. The venue is really comfortable and uniquely special set amongst old world Asian furniture, and there's usually ambient classic Chinese music playing in the background. The food seems to be fusion Asian and local cafe, along with coffee and tea offerings. Overall food is ok if not a bit generic in taste and if you're after good Asian food you'll be better off going to a proper Asian restaurant. However, it's still good for a meal, tea and coffee in an eclectic venue.

This was my second visit and my friend and I made the trek from Freo!We also met up with another friend who lives near by and is a vegan.Waitress was fabulous and I went with the signature dish (recommended) and enjoyed it. The vegan tofu was inedible and the waitress dealt with that beautifully. The other meal appeared to be smothered in ‘thousand island’ dressing, very, very odd.I want to love this beautiful cafe, so maybe I should just stick to a cup of tea.

The atmosphere and ambience of this Cafe is amazing as always, I think next time I would like to just have tea and cake, as I never have enough room after breakfast! Their food menu is small but they do it great. Their tea selection is very varied and the staff is extremely helpful and attentive especially when deciding on tea!Definitely a place to go, favourite tea so far is the Singapore afternoon which was recommended to me and I am very grateful!Great staff and great food will definitely be back

I have been here several times and enjoyed being here every time. I prefer the normal menu options as opposed to the hi tea here. The food here is very interesting and many good options. Western with Asian styles throughout so a very good mix. The bottomless tea is definitely worth trying as they have so many different types of teas to choose from. I came with another 3 friends so the 4 of us had two teapots going at a time. We got to taste so many different delicious teas which are also available to purchase to take home and brew yourself or for gifts. Please be mindful that only the loose teas are included for this bottomless option and you will have to pay extra for the blossom teas. But worth a try with a group so why not!! In the warmer months it is nice to sit out in the back garden where there is a water feature and some fish and nice decorations.

The worst high tea and cocktail we've ever had...The chairs were so uncomfortable, and most of us had very sore backs after a just a little while and the service was lacking also. Many things were forgotten. The daiquiris were bland, tasteless and when we told the waitress this and mentioned it just tasted like water with no alcohol we got sorry" and no offer to fix it or anything. I ended up adding a sugar cube to my cocktail to try and make it taste better but ended up not finishing it at all.The sweet items on the high tea were gross and tasteless as well. Very disappointing. You could tell it was cheap and bought in.The scones

Came to Chapels on Whatley for a birthday high tea for 8 ladies. Plenty of space for more.Started with a black rice pudding, scones with jam and cream and cucumber sandwiches. All very nice; we ran out of jam and cream and the servers were very happy to get us more...Then the towers came out. There was a beautiful arrangement of sweet and savoury foods including savoury scone with salmon and cream cheese, savoury profiterole with red capsicum and cream cheese, quiche, maybe a kimchi dumpling, lemon curd tart, Nutella tart, salted caramel tart, caramel slice and macaroons. I may have forgotten one or two things there but the high tea was definitely heavy on the sweets compared to others. The high tea was quite nice and the service and atmosphere was great.I would definitely come back but have had better tasting high teas elsewhere.

My new favourite place in Maylands!Great menu selection between both Western and Asian, awesome portion sizes, insane selection of teas! The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful, happily catered for dietaries with no issues as well.Left incredibly full and happy. Definitely the type of place where you don’t order the same meal every time because there’s everything is so good. The best high tea any of us have had. Even on a super busy day like Mother’s Day, the drinks and food were flowing quickly, with prompt top ups.Lots to explore in the shop as well.Street parking available and across from the train station.

Amazing! The staff were friendly and the service was great. The menu was quite broad, and the food delicious with good size portions.I particularly love the atmosphere and asian influenced environment felt like being in nicely tucked away Cafe restaurant in Singapore, the tea and herbs available from here are fantastic.Going back to explore more of the menu!
